2011 Sarang Timeline

"The Engagement Ring"

I was surprised when I opened my bag and saw a little box colored blue. I felt something of excitement as I slowly opened the box and saw a ring with crystal shining brightly on its middle. He never told me about it, not even giving me a hint that he had something to give. He just left home for work and say nothing but bid goodbye with a kiss.

"The Heart-Shaped Cake"

It was last May 9, 2011 that we were celebrating our 2nd Anniversary. I used to it that during our Monthly celebration (every 9th of the month), he will treat me to McDonald's and have a little chit chat and greet each other "Happy Monthsary". On our 2nd Anniversary, he asked me to have a dinner, I was thinking that we will go to McDonald's but we went the other way, he decided for us to dine @ Mang Inasal but before we get in, he had his way opposite to Mang Inasal which is the Goldilocks and gave a receipt and the crew handed him the Box of Cake. I was surprise to see that he had prepared, reserved and customized a cake for the celebration - the cake was shaped Heart.

"The Pamanhikan"

It was last June 18, 2011 in the morning that he told me and my parents that he will asked my hand  ("pamanhikan" in tagalog and "pamalaye" in bisaya) that afternoon after his duty but that was cancelled  due to unavailabiliy of my aunt to come that afternoon. He rescheduled it the next day June 19, 2011. I can't explain the feeling and the surprise he brought to me that day. I can't even say a word of the excitement that I felt.

"My 23rd Natal Day"

As I was on my way home, I felt a little of disappointment because I never received a text from him asking us to go to somewhere special place. I got home with greetings from my mother and relatives a "Happy Birthday Inday". I was looking at my room for a surprise, to the kitchen and to the living room but there was none. Not to show them and to him my disappointment I tried to smile and enjoy my self on their greetings. A minute after, he went upstairs (though we only have 3 steps of our stair which divided the living room and the bedroom) and went down wih a box wrapped with a used gift wrapper. I was surprised that he had a gift for me. I thought it was a thing since it was wrapped. I opened it and kept asking of what was it inside. It was a Birthday cake with a Special Letterings Inside"

"The Belated Christmas Gift"

I wrote this blog yesterday afternoon December 29, 2011. Listed in here the surprises my partner had given to me within this year 2011. I thought my 2011 surprises ends on my birthday last July. I never thought that he would gave me a Christmas Gift this December since we have a Big Day to prepare for a budget. It was on the night of December 29, 2011 that I knew and I was so very surprised to see his gift. As I get in into our bedroom, I saw him in our bed hugging a big paper bag while asleep. I was thinking who had given that to him and how special is that for him that on his sleep he still hug that thing. As I sat on the bed,he woke up and said,"Gift Nako Nimo" (a gift for you). I answered,"Really? Are you sure that's mine or that's for you? Maybe someone gave that to you. He replied,"No,that's for you and I bought it for you, open it." As I opened it, I just can't take away the smile on my face, it was a big "Pooh Stuff Toy". Since childhood, I really love stuff toys. ^_^

BUKAS PALAD Christmas Party Celebration for Kids at Holy Name Mabolo City Cebu

"We may not have much, but we have enough that we can share to the less fortunate ones."

It was last week when my friend Glaiza Tangaha invited me to join in the Bukas Palad. It is somekind of community service wherein the goal is to give smile and help in a little that we can to those less fortunate children. When I knew about this, I get so excited and felt something inside of happiness because it is my goal that within this Christmas I can give help and share a little blessings to a less fortunate kids. It was fulfilled because of BUKAS PALAD.

I bought a teddy bear stuff toy and a pink jacket for a girl since we were already given names of a kid we are assigned to guide and take care for that one day event "Christmas Party". I always pray before for the event that hopefully I can give smile to the kid I am assigned too. Seeing a child happy is a great fulfillment to me since in the first place I really love kids.

It was this afternoon at 2:30 pm December 18, 2011 that we arrived at Holy Name Mabolo Cebu City together with my friends Glaiza Tangaha, Rachellyn Bacalso, Marinette Aying, Analiza DaƱo, Julimat Navares and Euseben Cabo who arrived a minute after us. We started with picture taking as we wait for the kids. When the program started, we as sponsors "Ate's" and "Kuya's" were told to look for the kid we were assigned too since all of us were wearing name tags for identification. I felt a little sad and disappointed when I search and realize Yoela was not around. I may not see her yet but I can't explain why I am sad. It was around 3:30 pm that we were told that 20 kids from Lilo-an can't come that's and maybe our assigned kids are one of those since it is not only me who don't have the kid we were assigned to. Since not all of sponsors are present, we were given kids who don't have sponsors. I got Mars Marlene, 8years old, girl and lived in Holy Name Mabolo.

As the program started, there was a surprise guest who definitely made kids wear a very wide big smile on their faces as they saw Jollibee Mascot enter the door and do his wacky dance, I even admit I felt like I am one of those kids too at that time who were surprise and so very happy to see Jollibee. After that dance presentation, we do pictorials and bid goodbye. We then started our games. I was surprise of how active Mars was. She volunteer to join the Trip to Jerusalem and I as her sponsor must be with her and join also the game. We won in the said game and got a prize of one pack chocolate, the next game we joined are somewhat like a basketball using crumpled newspaper and molded into circle, we don't win but we had a consolation prize. So happy to see how happy she is having those prizes and also seeing other kids happy and the eyes are somewhat twinkling due to happiness.

There was presentation from a group of kids who dance "waka-waka" while other kids are eating their hamburger snacks. After that, there's a question and answer game for the kids as for them to test how they know their sponsors and vice versa. Before the game started, Mars asked me a little few things like where o I live, what's my age, am I already working and she also introduce herself, where she live and what's her family name. The first question was "who among of your "Ate's"and Kuya's" whose name started with letter "C" just like the word Christmas. She raised her hand and answer "Ate Cheryll" and was asked to spell my name and she got it and receive a prize again. And followed by another question/s which also answered by other kids.

The party was ended with he giving of our gifts to the kids. All of them were excited to open their presents. You can't just pay any amount the happiness that you can see on the faces of the little angels as they open their presents. And they went home together with their parents.

We, the sponsors were left and gathered for a minute to give and listen to feed backs of co-sponsors. Everyone is happy and fulfilled and also can't explain the feeling of giving and sharing a little blessings to the children though we in our part are not that wealthy and just had enough and though how busy, still spend a time for those kids. ^^

"Hope no just on Christmas we can share a little blessings to less fortunate but in a whole year"

Wonderful Experience!!!!!!!

1st Day of MISA DE GALLO this YEAR 2011

I woke up around 2:00 AM in the morning since it’s First Day of Misa De Galeo, expecting that there would be more people to attend the mass. I, my husband to be and my mother went to the church and arrived around 2:30 AM. I was shocked when I saw there are still many vacant seats.
Last year, during 3:00 AM, you can no longer see vacant seats and all you can find are people carrying their own chairs and laid them on the aisle. But now, it took around 3:30 AM before the crowd of people started. But different from last year, yeah there are still many people attended the mass this dawn but not as many as last year.

I wonder why. I heard from the other people that if you completed the mass then you can make a wish and it will come true. I realized how many percent (%) of the people who attended the mass this morning thinking that way. Does that mean also that the reduce of number of people attending the mass this year compared to last year, is due maybe their wish already come true and they no longer have wishes now so no need to attend the mass?
Hope that we will not just attend mass because we are ill, we have financial problems, family problems, or we need to land a job but simply TO SAY THANKS TO EMMANUEL FOR THE LIFE HE GAVE TO US.

Why wish for more when HE IS MORE THAN WHAT WE HAVE NOW.

"Let those Without Sin Cast the First Stone"

Are you familiar of this line?
Yeah, This was what Jesus said to the Jews who cast stones to Mary Magdalene.
After Jesus said this, the people walk away.

Let's reflect to our situation now, we judge people of the sin that they've done but we never reflected into ourselves how sinful we are.

A thousand good things that a person done to us, we remember it for just one day to one week only and talked it to less than 10 persons.
But One Bad thing that a person could have done to us, we remember it for a year and talked it to not less than 22 persons.

Same on the situation of our society now, this one person is serving the people and also to God.
Been good to the sinners, and forgive their sins.
Listens to those who needs comfort and peace.
But the sad part is, this person was being tempted and all fingers of the people are pointing at him and condemn him as if he is the worst criminal on earth.
They forget his Good Will.
They forget how they respect him.
They forget he helped them not just once but for how many times to cleanse their heart from sins.
They forget that they are also a SINNER.

Even Jesus who have No Sin, forgive those who crucified him.
Why can't we? We are Sinners for how many times.

Let us be ashamed of our act!
He is also a human who will commit sin.
I think you know what I mean for those who read the newspaper published yesterday December 11, 2011 and heard the news.

Instead we must help him rather than pushing him away and pointing fingers at him.
He needs our Help.
Let's stop investigating and publishing His Name for fame to ourselves.
Stop being happy for the acknowledgement that YOU,.. YOU,...YOU... are the one who reveal the truth,
Because it is useless at all.
It doesn't make sense.

RH BILL: THE SOLUTION OF POVERTY & UNEMPLOYMENT DUE TO OVERPOPULATION?

Why there are many people die today? Is this a coincedence or not? RH Bill issue arise this year, and lots of people die this year ??? Due to our reasoning of Overpopulation that we need the RH Bill, Above prove us that IT IS STILL HIM WHO OWNS OUR LIFE and the one to get it! NOT US!

UNEMPLOYMENT is not because of OVERPOPULATION, if our population now will decrease will that mean that tomorrow the unemployed people now will get employed? If we just use that 3Billion for a job opportunity it's a BIG HELP rather than on a thing which is not really pointing the root cause of POVERTY & UNEMPLOYMENT!

IF SO, PROVE FIRST! IF WE DECREASE THE NUMBER OF OUR POPULATION THEN TOMORROW ALL UNEMPLOYED WILL GET EMPLOYED!!!

"It's not about the overpopulation but rather our Attitude as Filipinos. We went to school not to build our own business but to have a better work in the future which means our goal is just to be an employee and never to be an employer. Next to that is, we have a 3Billion Budget for the RH Bill for it is a way to control Birth which is  believed by many as a reason for our poverty, if so, how much percentage that tomorrow all Hungered, and Unemployed and No Shelter people will have. Instead of using that 3Billion to a Solution which is Not Really a Solution to our Problem, Why not spend that in building an opportunity for a Job. A 3Billion has so much to do than spending that on the RH Bill!"

PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES: THINK!!! USE YOUR COMMON SENSE!!! WILL YOU???
